My photography has appeared in several daily and weekly newspapers. My experience has included working as a staff photojournalist for The Hollister Pinnacle and The San Francisco Daily.
In addition to shooting the photos, I often had to interview the subjects of the stories taking fast notes to have enough information for a written story as well. This enhanced my time management skills.
Working as a photojournalist took me to a variety of settings including a close up show of fire dancers, farms and ranches and tattoo conventions.

Working as a photojournalist taught me among other things, how to tell a story by shooting subjects so a whole story could be told by one photo, and also how to shoot the same subject so it could be told in two, three or more photos.
I also gained a great appreciation for black and white photos. As I rarely knew if a photo would appear in black and white or color, I’d always keep in the back of my mind how it might look in black and white. Although tattoos are usually quite colorful, I really liked how my tattoo story came out.
I look forward to bringing my skills as a photojournalist to your wedding.
